Remark:
1/ From May 26, 2000 onward, all components of reserves are marked to market.
2/ Starting October 2016, international reserves include currency that has been added to the calculation of the SDR basket. (For more detail, please refer to the IMF definition of the SDR basket http://www.imf.org/en/About/Factsheets/Sheets/2016/08/02/19/35/Review-of-the-Special-Drawing-Right-SDR-Currency-Basket )
3/ Starting March 29, 2024, gold reported under International Reserves is adjusted to follow IMF definition where only gold with a purity of at least 995/1,000 should be recorded. However, this report adjustment does not affect the amount of gold held as Net Foreign Assets and reported under BOT’s Financial Statements.
4/ Thai baht equivalent figures are derived from USD equivalent figures, converted at the first digit level using end-of-period reference rate.
5/ For both weekly and monthly series from 1 January 1999 to 25 December 2009, conversion to baht equivalent was based on counter mid-rate. For data as of 31 December 2009 onwards, however, reference rate has instead been used for currency conversion.
